My reflection of the great MLK

Time to reflect on this!

This post is about the things i have learned and the reflection of the difficult, interesting, and troublesome things that i had to go through to make this how i did.  I would now like to share with you all the things that made this blog what it is.

This paragraph is about the things i learned about my topic like the things that he accomplished and all the great and wonderful things he has done in his life.  Some things i also l earned were not so pleasant though, there was some ugly truth about martin that i wish i would not have stumbled along it but as i did it was very interesting to me!  Some of the things that i found different than i expected were how hard it was to find good solid research and credible sources.

My second aspect of what i learned about this topic was how rude and men people were to Martin luther king jr. and everything they did in retaliation to his good works and peaceful deeds.  From the death threats to the rocks through the window to bombs exploding to phone calls Martin and his family experienced it all and still got through it.  One thing that really shocked me was the amount of self control that Martin had not to retaliate with any, physical violence but to be only peaceful bout everything that he stood for and everything he did he was calm and honorable about it.

The most challenging thing for this post for me was the research and everything i had to dig through to find it because a lot of peoples posts or articles were all the same with out any difference what so ever so it made it a lot harder because i had to look so much deeper in everything to find good information.  It was challenging because when i would search something i had to make sure the author of that information did not just make that up and check with multiple sources to see if it was in deed correct.

Another thing that was also hard and made things very different was the iPad and how it behaved.  At times it would work great and have no problems, but at other times it was a nightmare. From the copy pasting from pages to the formatting or the links and hyperlinks and trying to make sure the sources are not plagiarized.  I had a few posts disappear at times then reappear somewhere else where i did not want them.  It was difficult but in the end i figured it out and had to troubleshoot the problem to find the answer.

The most rewarding thing about this topic and entire project of the blog was that i learned so much about my person and also, i learned about other peoples from having to read comments or comment on a piece or grade peoples it was very helpful go have that on hand and be able to not only learn mine but others as well. Also a very rewarding thing is the mount that i improved from my first post to now was a great amount!  As the effort and determination increased to get the project done so did my grade!  It shot up from my first post to my last few!

Some rewarding things were i found a lot of organizations that either martin gave to or was involved in which offer many scholarships and i also saw what a great man was and how he carried himself was a great act of humility and kindness for everyone to see.  Although he was a great hero on the outside, those who knew him on his inner life knew he was just the same.  The strong hearted caring martin who will always be remembered on his day of days, where he has been chosen to be exemplified above others for the great things he has done.  His day, Martin luther king day.

Those are some of the great and wonderful yet depressing and sad things i have either learned or experienced over this project of researching Martin. I hope it was worth your time because it sure was worth my time to write it.  I hope this helped, thank you.

Achievments of the great MLK

Accomplishments of MLK

I am writing about the accomplishments of MLK and what made him so great. He had many great accomplishments Nd i am here to inform you many of them!   My first accomplishment of his is the march on washington where he also gave his " i have a dream speech".  It was in 1963 that he did this and he was protesting racial  discrimination. The march on washington was a awesome accomplishment.  To me, this was a very crucial piece of martins life which made him even more a a great guy than he already was! He stood for what was right, even when he was persecuted.  " Martin luther king jr.  always stood by what he believed and what was right to him and the people."  biography.yourdictionary.com tells more about this awesome accomplishment of martins and i recommend going to this site if you like what you have heard so far!

My next accomplishment i have of Martins was his honorary awards from his colleges and universities.  Martin was awarded over 50 awards from different colleges he went to around the united states.  Martin showed what a great person he was not only as a man being but also as a student from his kindergarden class to his colleges courses which he aced he was a top of the line student going into college at only age 15! " He was such a gifted student of mine all the time, every time. He didn't ever mess around he was a hard working student to say the least." Says a college professor of martins at Crozer college university.  Read more of this at www.kbtx.com

His 3rd Accomplishment was his nobel peace prize award.  Which as many of you know is very accomplishing and it is such a high award not many people let alone african americans back in that day were awarded.  Martin exemplified his skills and assets in every way he could. He was such a amazing man.  " Martin won this award because he was the only one in that era who qualified for it. Yet also he was extremely deserving of it.". Read more at www.kbtx.com

My fourth accomplishment i choose was him being elected for the president of the SCLC.  He was elected for this because all of the stuff he was doing was so great that there was no one else who could have done it better.  He was elected this because ll he was doing for the civil rights movement as well.  He was so smart that he had nothing to fear in leadership. ". No man could have done what he did.  He was a many among children".

My last accomplishment and one of his finest was him being awarded the medal of freedom by president carter.  He was awarded this honorary achievement because of everything he stood for and pushed for in his life of greatness. He had so much going for him and president Jimmy carter just acknowledged that and he was so fit for it. pabooklibrarys.psu.edu said " He was the conscience of his generation.  His life informs us, his dreams sustain us."  Which is a very powerful statement for martin.

Those are some of his many accomplishments to say the least!  In this i hope you see how great of a man, father, husband and friend he was!  He was with the people,to  the
people and for the people. He was a great inspiration.

The good, the bad, and the ugly. MLK

The good, the bad, and the ugly about MLK

Martin luther king jr. was a very great man in history and he did so many things.  In this piece of writing i will be comparing Martin to the good and the bad that he did.
He was a very smart and intelligent fellow.  In my opinion the good out weighs the bad by far in this case.  We are only human and can not always be pleasing to people because the truth is we will fail at times and disrespect and dishonor people but that is life and its tough.  Although that is my opinion but librarythinkingquest.org  would be a great place to go to find more!

At librarythinkingquest.org  it says many things like " He was involved in many other marches, including the biggest one in Washington. There were 200,000 Blacks and Whites who marched along with him. He was standing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, and there he gave his famous "I Have a Dream" speech." This all goes to show how great he was and there are to many things to count. All his awards, the nobel peace prize that not to many have gotten and yet no African american at that time.

There was a dark side to him is what the about.com has to say about him.  Many things were pushed on him and against him in the time period because of what he stood for, yet also because it wasn't right.  In college Martin was accused and found guilty for plagiarizing many pieces of his work including speeches,  writing prompts, essays, and much more.  In a sense he was a cheater doing good.  Yet he wasn't just a cheater,  about.com states and i quote "a man who was a phony, a cheater, a traitor, and a sexual degenerate - gets a day of his own."

As you can see some people thought not only that but there is some evidence that was find saying martin would go out and find white women who would very much resemble hookers and have parties with them.  Not that much could be true.  I do not believe that to be true but it very well could be because everyone has their faults.  Their weaknesses.  Martin luther king jr. was also accused of getting money from a communist organization outside of the United States.  Which may have been true but in all honesty, who is sayng MLK is a bad person? You must be blinded in some sort of way.

Those are some of the things that make Martins life a good comparing piece between good, and evil.  Thank you for your time.

History of the great MLK

History of Martin luther essay

In this blog i am writing about how Martin luther king jr. lived.  In many ways he didn't have a normal life what so ever.  His history is what inspired many Negros to dream his dream that he had.  He was always doing something productive or helping others in every way he could.  Martin was a man of integrity and a loyal companion.  At many times he was in the situation where he could have backed out in so many people but he decided to stay and help them no matter to consequences.  He even gave his life for his cause, but we will get to that later.  I want to talk about Martins personal life,  the great son and husband and father he was.  The great friend,  scholar, leader, whatever you choose to describe him he does it all to a T.  Martin was a man among many boys in the world because he could see beyond all the racial slurs and all of the de his own and the unfairness from the world.  He kept going even when there was no hope because he made his own hope because he chose not to let the little things that would irritate most people affect him.  Don't get me wrong I'm sure at times he was broken and burned out,  but that did not stop him from achieving his goal he had in mind and nothing could stop mr. King.  Many times he failed as well though,  in college he was accused of plagiarizing many of his papers and in fact he did many times.  According to hypocritical holiday: "In 1988, the Martin Luther King Jr. Papers Project made a discovery that shocked it to its core.

The Project, a group of academics and students, had been entrusted by Coretta Scott King with the task of editing King's papers for publication. As they examined King's student essays and his dissertation, they gradually became aware that King was guilty of massive plagiarism - that is, he had copied the words of other authors word-for-word, without making it clear that what he was writing was not his own.

The Project spent years uncovering the full extent of King's plagiarism. In November 1990, word leaked to the press, and they had to go public. The revelations caused a minor scandal and then were promptly forgotten."  Although he did plagiarize and did mess up, how many of us haven't?  When Martin was accused for this he admitted he was trying to just get by.  He quoted a book from the bible where Jesus says in john 8:7 " Let him who has not sinned throw the first stone at this woman."  A woman was caught adulterating and the Pharisees wanted to stone her to death but jesus said to them you who have not sinned May throw the first stone and they all walked away.

How to write a effective speech

Writing speeches can be tough. You have to have the right time setting, place to write and ideas or you will just get frustrated.  So buckle up and take some notes!  Wen writing a good speech, you MUST know your topic before you can start brainstorming how you want to write because it all depends on how you want to entertain your reader.  Choose a quiet place, and study hard and when you negin to write just keep writing and dont stop. Then go back and see what you can do better!
This how to piece of my blog is for martin luther king jr.  I am going to write how to make a good speech effective and strong.  Many people have written good effective speeches.  Although, martin personified speech giving because of his tremendous ability to be outspoken and not care.

Clarence jones was one of his "speech writers" who helped him write his famous "I have a dream" speech. Clarence was standing just a few feet away during this speech giving martin words when he struggled with them or changing it as they went.  Martin had many characteristics that made him a well speech writer and speaker.  He always had a vibe about him that was confident and very reassuring to everyone. Martin had a way about writing speeches.

Writing speeches can be tough. Then go back and see what you can do better!

He had the right words to say for ever circumstance or every counter by anyone.  In college martin had many writing pieces where he plagiarized and when he was found he was disciplined  and he decided he would never again plagiarize and that he would always write his own pieces which in turn seemed to be much better than plagiarizing.

According to Pearson education: We have knowledge that freedom comes at a painful price.  Not voluntarily but must strictly be demanded.  The words wait always mean never so don't wait any longer! We must have the courage to be different than that of this world.  We must not give up trying because justice that is delayed for long, will indeed be justice denied.

Blog 3 newsworthy

There are not many new things about my topic because he is not very recent in life and has been dead for many years now but his effect is still lasting because of the amazing work he dis while he was at work.  Martin luther changed many american life's and his effects are still around today as in there is no segregation to your race or color of skin or anything.  There is  separate whites and blacks for anything.  Slavery does not exist like it dis back then and anyone can get a job anywhere.  People believe martins dream still live's because the world has changed. Surely his dream would not be alive if everything had went back to normal but no! It has not gone back it has stayed the same!   People are at a all time of getting along and helping one another.  Martin had so many, lasting effects with everything that he did and his influential speeches and letters all have a lasting effect that makes martins  dream still thrive today

"On Monday January 21st, America celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. Day. And as this day is approaching I started to wonder if his dream is still alive today with us or our children? With so much violence, degradation and no worries of human life, it appears that we as Christian people have gotten away from teaching our children how we should stand together as people, support each other, respect each other and truly love one another.

We seem to have given up. Which is so far from what Dr. King stood for. Don't get me wrong, it's hard raising God fearing children these days and I would hope and pray that we teach our children how to live right and do right by all people. But somehow with the "hip-hop" generation of "bling-bling," fast times and violence, this dream has been lost, but not forgotten.

I say, don't give up because the one thing that appears to have brought our children together today is with hip-hop and new age music that the 1960's music also accomplished in our day. Even though our generation may not fully understand today's version, I believe Dr. King's dream is in there somewhere.

"I have a Dream Speech" "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made straight and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."(Wanda bell).

Information

Martin luther king Jr. was born january 15, 1929.  September 20 1944 he enrolled in morehouse college in which he studied sociology. He graduated in 1948 with his bachelors degree in sociology.  King then enrolled in crozer college where he earned his bachelors degree in Theology.
Kings many speeches and all of his lessons he taught people were very smart and well put together.  His life was one of that anyone would look at his overview of his life he would be encouraged and inspired by the way he lived and how he conducted himself.  He was respectful, resistant to angry, brilliantly minded and very humble about himself.

"We are not defined by our color (though there are those that would choose to define me so). We are defined by Who our Father is. We are a blood-bought, born-again, sanctified, walking-with-the-Lord child of God. THAT is who we are. We serve the ONLY wise God and Saviour Jesus Christ. We  don't serve ourself anymore. Our life is all about Jesus. It wasn't always, but it is now. If there be any good thing that springs forth from our life it comes from Jesus Christ our Sin bearer, our Saviour, and our Master"(Peter mcmilian).

Martin was a evangelistic  man as well as a great father and husband.  Many people would thing all he did was help end segregation but he did a lot more than that in his life time.  He earned the respect of not only the blacks in his community and around them world, but the whites to.  Of course some hated him and thought everything he said or did was unnecessary, but they did not have to deal with the things that martin had to deal with.  The trials that he was faced with and overcame.  He rose up in the face of those persecuted him.

Martin was well know very soon as his speeches became world renown.  He was know as " the black man who is charging forward" by lots in the US.  He changed so many peoples lives and he was a all around genuine guy that anyone would respect and if they didn't respect him it was because they didn't understand or have the same cares about him as he did. Many things that he did in his life were very profound.  He was a leader to many blacks in His local community and also to anyone in persecution trying to get out he was a light to all.
